• I met you where the hymns had drowned,
    in the water under stone,
you said your heart was holy ground,
    but no one prays alone.
    The candles burned for Judas,
    the choir wept for rain,
    we traded grace for tenderness,
    then tenderness for pain.

You wore your sins like wedding lace,
I quenched my thirst with brine,
the serpent whispered through your hair,
and said your breath was mine.
    The Bible on the table
    had forgotten how to close,
and the night came down like scripture,
    reciting what it knows.

Now dawn is just a witness
to the crimes that lovers keep,
    we crucify the morning light
and nail it back to sleep.
    The angels dance our requiem,
    the devil hums along,
    and somewhere in the distance
    I still hear your song.

  • In the ocean’s pit, light is a rumour.
In the void above, darkness is law.

Pressure calms the world into silence.
Gravity speaks the sky into flame.

A crown jelly drifts, bright as thought.
A dying star turns, slow as prayer.

Its tendrils gleam, threads of cold fire.
Its arms erupt, rivers of gold.

No witness to see the deep.
No witness to bear the glare.

    Now both ignite
    a single impulse mirrored.
    The sea opens its lanterns.
    The heavens bloom their wounds.

    One descends into stillness,
    the other bursts into song.
    Both say the same word:
    behold.

Their lights cross in the mind’s horizon
    blue within black,
    gold within void
the same creation knowing itself twice.

    And when both fade,
    the star into iron,
    the creature into salt,
    their brief fires meet again
    in the mirror between words,
where the abyss and the cosmos
    say each other’s name.

  • Stall
    where light unweaves.
    The stars will fall
    like brittle leaves.

    Build
    on gravity’s rim.
    Space is stilled,
    their motion’s hymn.

    Drift
    through gaseous shawl.
    The void’s slow gift
    remembers all.

    Call
    through bending glass.
    Each step recalls
    what cannot pass.

    Stack
    the photon’s husk.
    Their temples crack
    the edge of dusk.

    Turn
    the spiral’s seam.
    Mass will burn,
    and thought will stream

    Fall
    beyond return.
    Through timeless wall
    their bodies churn.

    Crawl.
    The dark undone.
    Through endless thrall,
    they make it one.
