    I am white ebbing to grey

    I am beginning, I am beginning
    I am many decayed away

    I am gravity, I am void
    I am dark between the flame

    I am echo of creation
    I am body without name

    I am collapse, I am expansion
    I am horizon and beyond

    I am song of dying worlds
    I am cloudburst at dawn

    I am time dissolving memory
    I am seed of final night

    I am heat in cooling stars
    I am shadow losing light

    I am tremor of existence
    I am lattice breaking slow

    I am moments unremembered
    I am drift to nothing’s flow

    I am gravity, gravity void,
    I am dark, flame-dark,
    I am echo, echo-echo.

    I am collapse, expansion-collapse,
    I am horizon, horizon-beyond,
    I am song, song-silence,
    I am time, time-seed.

    I am heat, shadow-heat,
    I am tremor, lattice-tremor,
    I am moments, drift-moments,
    I am not yet, wave-not yet.

    I am everywhere, nowhere-everywhere,
    I am last, first-last,
    I am the wave, wave unfallen,
    I am the particle, pulse of all.

    I am the point, point that swallows all,
    I am spiral, spiral-dust,
    I am breath, breath of ending.
    I am pulse measured, unmeasured.

    I am gravity, gravity void,
    I am dark, flame-dark,
    I am echo, whisper-echo,
    I am collapse, expansion-collapse.

    I am horizon, horizon-beyond,
    I am song, song-song.
    I am time, time-seed,
    I am heat, death-heat.

    I am tremor, lattice-tremor,
    I am moments, drift-moments,
    I am not yet, wave-not yet,
    I am everywhere, nowhere-everywhere.

    I am last, first-last,
    I am the wave, wave unfallen,
    I am the pulse, pulse of all,
    I am not yet, I am the wave.

    Dust. Collapse.
    A spiral drawn.
    Darkness bent.
    The stars were born.
    Arms uncoiled.
    Matter burned.
    Form endured,
    pattern secured.

    Fusion struck.
    Gases fled.
    Iron rained.
    Carbon spread.
    Clustered fields,
    records stay.
    Turning sealed,
    marks obey.

    Halos touched.
    Collisions carved.
    Edges broke.
    New arms starved.
    Gravity pulled.
    Chaos swayed.
    From the wreck,
    a larger flame.

    Voids between.
    Holes that drink.
    Light withdrawn.
    Shadows think.
    Hidden mass.
    Threads remain.
    Dark retains,
    what fire contained.

    Stars grow old.
    Fuel is done.
    Forges fall.
    Fires none.
    Arms grow thin.
    Whispers stay.
    Song decays,
    to ash and grey.

    Black holes fade.
    Night is bare.
    Radiance gone.
    No orbit there.
    Yet I remain,
    folded flame.
    Darkness vast
    the given Name.
