I am not yet, I am not yet
I am the wave before the fall

I am all paths, I am all paths
I am the point that swallows all

I am photon, I am shadow
I am spiral, I am dust

I am breath before the star
I am longing, I am rust

I am unmeasured, I am unmeasured
I am white ebbing to grey

I am beginning, I am beginning
I am many decayed away

I am gravity, I am void
I am dark between the flame

I am echo of creation
I am body without name

I am collapse, I am expansion
I am horizon and beyond

I am song of dying worlds
I am cloudburst at dawn

I am time dissolving memory
I am seed of final night

I am heat in cooling stars
I am shadow losing light

I am tremor of existence
I am lattice breaking slow

I am moments unremembered
I am drift to nothing’s flow

I am not yet, I am not yet
I am wave before the fall

I am everywhere, I am nowhere
I am last and first of all

Loved reading this poem. The lines drilled deep into my psyche, and the experience was exciting!

This felt really good to read to me because it’s like the vastness that holds everything safe, contained.

Poetry
These poems are moments pulled from the folds of everyday life, memory, myth and imagination. They are invitations to pause, to notice, and to enter the spaces between words.

One written each day.

Some days are a prick.
Some are a blessing.
