Flame without floor.
River without shore.
Radiance without rest.
In the black vault above all things,
a crown of fire unfolding,
It burns. It breathes. It dies.
As below, so above.
As in water, so in space.
As in depth, so in ascent.
A star erupts,
a jellyfish inverted,
its tendrils cast through vacuum,
its sting dissolving in dust.
What the ocean suggests
the heavens confirm
What the trenches cradle,
the nebula disperses.
Light is a brief confession
Darkness the long penance.
As below, so above.
As in silence, so in beginning
As in ending, so in song.
